The Crandall Family
Larry was born in Monmouth, Illinois and grew up in Missouri and California, graduating from Westminster High School in 1967. He earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business from Golden West College.
Larry joined the Air Force in 1970, serving as a communication specialist in Thailand and Panama City, Florida. Larry received an honorable discharge in 1974 after which he moved to Fountain Valley and has lived here ever since.
In 1976 he graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Public Administration. Larry has utilized his education working as an investigator and elected official.
Larry is married to Sandra McCollom Crandall, who has taught in Fountain Valley School District for 38 years both as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. She is currently a Reading Specialist. Sandra was selected as Fountain Valley School District Teacher of the Year for the 2004-2005 school year.
